Host a Fundraiser
Thank you for your interest in organizing a fundraiser for PearlSpace. The purpose of this policy is to set forward the guidelines we require our organizers to follow to maintain the vision and mission of our organization.
Third-party fundraisers are an event organized by an individual, group, or organization in which the event proceeds are donated to PearlSpace. The event is to be planned and promoted, and all expenses paid by the organizer.

PearlSpace Fundraiser Guidelines
The PearlSpace must first approve any third-party fundraisers. We ask that any interested parties please complete the Third-Party Fundraising Proposal Form below at least 48 hours prior to the event taking place. This process ensures that any fundraisers held by a third party are aligned with PearlSpace’s mission and vision.
The PearlSpace reserves the right to decline participation in initiatives that do not comply with our mandate.
PearlSpace will not provide insurance coverage for your event. The event organizer(s) is responsible for payment of all licenses, insurance needs, and all other permits or costs required by a venue, municipality, funder, or other governing body.
PearlSpace will not assume any liability for third-party events.
PearlSpace strongly advises all organizers of third-party events involving any variation of physical activity to ensure that all participants sign valid legal disclaimers that waive all claims of physical, personal, or financial liability against the organizers and their agents.
Third Party Event Organizers will be responsible for any financial losses or unsettled accounts. Please note that Third Party Event Organizers do not have the authority to name PearlSpace in any signed contracts.
Any event organizer(s) looking to use the PearlSpace logos or marketing tools must first obtain the proper approval from our organization.
Upon request, a link may be provided for your donors to be able to make donations online through the Women’s Centre donation software.
PearlSpace will issue tax receipts in accordance with CRA regulations and the Income Tax Act.
To receive a tax receipt PearlSpace requires the following information within 30 days of the event:
- A full account list of revenues and expenses of the event;
- A complete list of those who made donations, including:
- Full Name
- Mailing address with postal code
- Phone number
- Amount of donation
